Due to COVID19 restrictions and the long lead time now required for planning and approval, we have decided to try and run an on-line Way of the Cross for Good Friday 2021 (2 Apr). We hope to follow closely the same structure used in the open air version at Waverley Central Oval, and plan to use several prerecorded reflections for each station. At this stage of planning, we would like to know how many people would be interested in participating in this event.
Visit the WotC Planning page to see how our planning is progressing.
We hope that you and your church members have kept well during the difficult andchallenging times in 2020.
I am writing, on behalf of the Glen Waverley Inter Church council to invite members of your churchcommunity to join us for our AGM (on Zoom) on Wednesday 4 November at 7.30pm.
During the meeting, the President and Treasurer will present their reports and there will be an election of office bearers. This is an opportunity for you to learnmore about your Inter Church Council and the work that is carried out by the dedicated members of this group.
Please consider attending yourself or passing this invitation onto someone in your community who maybe interested. If you let me know the email addresses of those how may like to “attend”, we will forward the link nearer the time.
Continue to go well as we move forward into a post Covid 19 time.
Yours in Fellowship,
Jan Clear. (President).

Victoria Police is aware of recent media reporting and online community discussions suggesting that certain communities are to blame for the latest rise in confirmed coronavirus cases.
We know this may cause many people to feel that they are being unfairly targeted. We want the community to know that we stand by you. If you have been racially abused or are the victims of a prejudice-motivated crime then please speak to police.
Racism and discrimination have no place in our society. Every Victorian has the right to feel safe and secure in the community.
Incidents of racism, discrimination or vilification based on religion, culture or ethnicity not only have direct impact on individual victims, but also the whole community.
We take all reports of this nature seriously, and we are here to support you. Anyone who experiences or witnesses these crimes is encouraged to report them to their local police station.
For more information on prejudice motivated crime, please visit the Victoria Police website.
In an emergency, please call Triple Zero (000).
The Glen Waverley and District Interchurch Council's suggested prayer calendar is now available. All churches are encouraged to use this calendar in their weekly cycle of prayers.
